Set Call Forwarding When Out Of Office

If you're going on vacation or an extended leave and someone else is going to be taking over your role, you'll likely want to have your phone calls from outside Manzana forwarded to that person. Here's how to do that.

1. Open Ring Central

2. Navigate to Settings\Phone\Extension Settings

3. This will start a new window in your default browser (most likely Chrome)

4. Select “Call Forwarding and Voicemail” and then select, “Custom Rules”

5. Select “Add Rule”

6. Name the Rule

7. For a time period, select “Date and/or Time.” Then select, “Specific Date Range,” then select the range of dates.

8. To send calls to a coworker, select, “Forward to extension.” Then select, “Select Extension.”

9. This pops up a “Select Extension” window

mceclip9.png10. Use the search bar to find the coworker you’re looking to forward calls to. Select that person and then click “Select.”

11. Click Save

12. You can see that this new rule is active.

13. If you need to review it, click “Edit” and it will run you through the steps again, reviewing what you have entered.

14. Your calls will now be forwarded to the person you’ve selected, for the time period you’ve selected.

15. You can now close the browser window.
